Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna state has presented a letter of reinstatement to Chief of Piriga dethroned by El-Rufai.
This followed a National Industrial Court ruling in Kaduna, declaring the removal and deposition of Chief Jonathan Zamuna from office as the Chief of Piriga Chiefdom in Lere LGA of Kaduna as irregular, unfair, null, unconditional, and contrary to good conscience.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, yesterday, Governor Uba Sani stressed that the move reinforced traditional leadership and demonstrated his commitment to upholding judicial rulings and fostering stability.
It would be recalled that Chief Jonathan Zamuna was dethroned by the immediate-past Governor of Kaduna state, Malam Nasir El-Rufa’i, on May 22, 2023, a few days before handing over to the current administration.
