Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani has tasked religious leaders to preach unity and peaceful coexistence in the state.
He asserted this while delivering his speech at the United Church of Christ in Nigeria, popularly known as (HEKAN) 59th Annual National Convention 2025, which took place in Kaduna, with the theme “Now Is the Time”.
He urged the religious leaders to join him in sustaining a State where all citizens are equal, happy, and safe.
Uba Sani, who was represented by his Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Religious Affairs Christian matters, Rev. Ishaya Adamu Jangado, said the Governor surmised that he attended the gathering due to its spiritual benefits he stands to gain the importance attached to it, not because he is duty bound.
According to him, since his assumption into office, he promised to be Governor to the entire people of Kaduna state and not a fraction of it.
“My dear brothers and sisters gathered in this annual convention, let me emphatically stress that elections have come and gone, litigation is over, and the focus is the electoral task of reuniting our people and providing a quality life for them.
“ This we can only achieve through an honest and sincere engagement with the people regardless of their ethnic or religious aggregation
“I urge all Christians and Christian leaders that are here to accept that we do not have any other state than Kaduna state; hence, our duty is to often teach peace and coexistence at all times.”
