The leadership of the United Nigeria Chaplaincy (UNC) Corps has appointed the retired judge of the FCT High Court of Justice, Hon. Justice Mwada Balami as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) in charge of the Chaplaincy.
The International Commandant General of UNC Corps, Prof. Jidejisos Josiah Ejie, who disclosed this while addressing the crowd during the presentation of letter of Appointment to the retired judge on Friday in Gwagwallada.
Prof. Jidejisos Josiah Ejie also decorated the retired Justice Mwada Balami as the Lieutenant-General of the United Nigeria Chaplaincy corps.
In an interview with newsmen after the occasion, prof Josiah Ejie said the retired judge was appointed as the chairman of BOT based on his contributions towards the progress of the chaplaincy.
He said the chaplaincy was formed in order to foster peace in Nigeria and all over the countries at large, disclosing that the chaplaincy has many officers across Nigeria and the world.
The UNC international commandant – General, however, used the occasion to call on the government functionaries to always gear towards promoting peace and unity among Nigerians.
Also speaking, the celebrant of the day, justice Nwada Balami, therefore, thanked the entire officers of the Chaplaincy corps for the honor done to him.
