The Vice-Chancellor said TETFund has been a partner in the progress made by FUDMA since its inception in 2011, adding that over 70 percent of projects across the university were executed by the Fund.
“if not because of TETFund interventions, universities would have since crumbled.
“I must categorically commend TETFund for promoting academic excellence through projects, study fellowships, research and conference interventions that have rekindled and revitalized Nigerian Universities from deterioration.”
The Vice-Chancellor assured the team of the readiness of the university to showcase all the projects executed by TETFund in the last 10 years, including all-inclusive information regarding each of the interventions by TETFund.
Earlier, the leader of the TETFund team, Prof. Martin Iyoboyi said the aim of their visit is to generate data on the effects of interventions executed by TETFund in the last decade.
He said they would be interviewing all Principal Officers, TETFund Desk Officer, 10 teaching and 10 non-teaching staff, as well as 10 students to aggregate the views of beneficiaries regarding the impact of the TETFund interventions for future improvement.
According to him, the team will inspect the various projects implemented by the Fund and collate data on the title, year, and status of each project.
Prof. Iyoboyi urged the university management to give his team the necessary support and information to carry out its assignment smoothly.
Meanwhile, the Federal Ministry of Education is providing a 100-seater CNG bus to the university to ease transportation challenges.
The intervention is under the Needs Assessment Intervention Funds Project 2021.
