Mamelodi Sundowns winger Ejike Uzoenyi is set to tie the knot with Chioma Loveth Abum, whom he has dated for the past five years.
The 2014 African Nations Championship Most Valuable Player will marry his sweetheart at St Brigid Catholic Church, Enugu on December 28, while the reception will hold at Blue Island Hotel & Suites in the state capital.
“I am getting married to Chioma Loveth Abum. We have been together for a long time, and she has always supported me as a footballer,’’ Ejike Uzoenyi told SL10.ng.
“I have decided to marry her because her tolerance and support has been encouraging, she is always praying for me.
“And we are always together to see Jesus; we have been friends for more than five years. God blessed me with her.’’
Ejike Uzoenyi officially pulled the curtain on his career with Enugu Rangers this summer after joining Mamelodi Sundowns on a four-year deal.
The petite winger had a short stint with Ligue 1 club Rennes in 2013.
