In an efforts toward promoting the pupils enrolment as well as providing Quality Education at the Basic levels, the Yobe State in conjunction with the UNICEF embarked on distribution of Teaching and Learning Materials across the 17 Local Government areas of the state.
The chairman of the committee, Vice Chancellor of Yobe State University, Prof. Mala Daura on Wednesday, said the mandate giving to the committee was to go round all the nooks and crannies of the state and establish the problems that is taking the state backward educationally and proper series of actions to be taken for positive change in thesector.
Prof. Daura added that, the Committee succeeded in carrying out the mandate assignment to it as expected.
On his part, the Ag. Education Secretary Nguru LGEA, Mallam Hamisu Ado launched the distribution of the allocated Teaching and Learning Materials.
Ado urged the parents to continue supporting Government policies tailored toward reducing the menace constituted by the out of school children in the locality.
Ado said, government is doing all it could to improve the Learning Outcome of the school children.
