The Zamfara State Government has concluded arrangements to vaccinate 1.4 million children in a new round of polio immunization to be conducted across the 14 local government areas of the state.
The Incident Manager, Emergency Operations Center, Zamfara state, Dr Murtala Salaudeen stated this during a press conference n Gusau, the state capital.
The Incident Manager, said 1,997 teams have been deployed across the communities in the state, saying, this is part of efforts to ensuring no child is left unvaccinated.
“We have formidable strategies this time around as we have planned to donate Indomie Noddles packs to every child during our house to house vaccination campaign.
He highlighted that in 2024, 16 cases of polio were recorded but in 2025 the state has celebrated zero case throughout Zamfara state.
Dr. Salauddeen emphasized that children need to be vaccinated against poliomyelitis.
