As part of the tradition of the church to gives back to the society and also bring smiles to the eyes of vulnerable people in the society, Zion Flames Ministries (ZFM) has conclude arrangements to assist orphanage homes ,widows vulnerable in Lagos State.
Addressing journalists during the press conference on Sunday,the Senior Pastor of the Church, Apostle Promise Momo,said God uses us to care for the less privileged We are His hands and His feet–we represent Jesus in the world.
He explained that God seems to have a special fondness for orphans and widows simply because they are the most vulnerable among us. A society is only as strong as its weakest and most vulnerable, so making the case that orphans deserve our attention and care is easy to do.
According to scripture “A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.”
In his words”He sends us into the world as an extension of His care and love for the widows and Orphans. There is little doubt that all of us can, and should, do something to help those who are fatherless who are in need of parental love and support, and the aged who have lost their pillar of support
“The LORD watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.” (Psalm 146:9)
“We can’t call ourselves Christians and not care about the Orphans and the widows
It’s simply not possible. James is clear about this in chapter 1. There is something that every one of us can do to support orphans in the world.
“No matter how little our contribution to humanity matters a lot and that is the essence of Christianity, this is what 2nd and 3rd December we as a Ministry will be reaching out to the less privileged in the community,”he said .
