By Jude Opara

Youth under the aegis of African Democratic Congress Youth Congress (ADYC), have vowed that the party will defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election even if he makes his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC).

The youth made the declaration ahead of the scheduled exit of INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu by December 2025.

They warned the President against any attempt to manipulate the processes of naming a replacement for the INEC chairman.

The ADC youths spoke yesterday in Abuja.

They stated that they would match whatever measures or style adopted by the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC), to subvert the people’s will.

“Politics is about numbers. They can bring as much money they have but we are going to beat them silly in 2027.

“We saw Onanuga asking how market. The waters have been tested. We have other elections coming up and that is when they will know how market is because it is going to be fire for fire,” they said.
