From Yakubu Mustapha, Minna

The search for a running mate for the Peoples Democratic Party PDP candidate for Niger State governorship in 2015 general election, Alhaji Umar Mohammad Nasko may soon be over with 3 names submitted for selection to that effect.

Investigations by our reporter revealed that the three (3) names were those of the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Liman Mohammed Isah Kantigi,  the Commissioner of Agriculture and Rural Development who is also overseeing Ministry of Tertiary Education, Professor Mohammed Kuta Yahaya and the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Idris Saidu Ndako Kpaki.

Analysts are of the opinion however that Liman Kantigi as deputy to Umar Nasko could be dangerous and disastrous to the state as he is seen to be a dictator and can never be absolutely loyal, obedient or respect him as a person therefore his emergence cannot be appreciable to the state.

On the only professor who has served Governor Aliyu diligently, who has every attribute to be the governor if the governorship was to be zoned to Niger South in the next political dispensation but unfortunately it is not, Prof. Kuta Yahaya who many said can make things happen, a democrat and manipulator, intelligent and educationist, he is full of ideas but can he be controlled by Umar Nasko if he eventually emerged as his deputy in 2015.

The last man standing, the present SSG,  Ndako Idris Kpaki is a reserved person, patient, trusted and much reliable if he eventually emerged as deputy governor to Umar Nasko, accordingly he is seen as the best amongst the three who might not have problems with Umar Nasko if he wins the governorship in next year election.
