A clergyman in charge of the Heavenly Kingdom church International in Gwagwalada area council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Archbishop Lai Balogun, has called on the government at all levels to provide employment for the applicants, who graduated for years without getting jobs from the relevant government establishments.

Balogun, who made the call in an interview with the Peoples Daily in Gwagwalada, also urged the government to place emphasis on the needs of the less privileged ones in the society.

He further advised political office holders to provide the needed infrastructural facilities to the electorates that voted them into power, so as to enable them to feel the impact of democracy.

He further urged the leaders to govern the masses with the fear of God, noting that it is God who gives them the power to lead people.

Also, the cleric pleaded with government to deem it necessary to consider religious leaders as well as royal fathers in the scheme of things, especially in the area of job opportunities for their subjects in the society.

Commenting on the societal vices, the cleric called on the parents/guardians to train their children in accordance with the teachings of the holy Quran and Bible, in order to prevent them from becoming criminals or terrorists in any community they may found themselves.

While speaking on the security challenges facing the country, Balogun urged the government to provide sophisticated weapons to the security agencies, so as to enable them wage war against insurgents.

Similarly, he called on the Christian leaders as well as this year’s Muslim performing this year’s hajj to pray for Nigerians, in order to overcome the threats of insecurity and Ebola virus outbreak in the country.
