The Special Adviser to the President on Political Affairs, Professor Rufa’I Ahmad Alkali has received the comprehensive list of the 7000 youth political groups from the North that blew their trumpets in a call for the President Goodluck Jonathan to declare intention to run for presidential race come 2015.

In a statement made available to Peoples Daily in Gusau, Zamfara state capital, which was signed by the Coordinator North-West Enlightenment Committee for Jonathan 2015, Comrade Murtala Ibrahim Gusau, the screening exercise was eventually conducted hitch free across the zone.

While submitting the list, chairman of the screening and evaluation committee for North-West zone, set up by the office of the Special Adviser on political affairs, Ambassador Sani El Kudan said, the exercise was properly conducted and indicated the popularity of the incumbent President.

The statement further reported Ambassador El Kudan as commending the efforts of the groups that voluntarily operated to promote the name of the president through enlightening the public about his good policies towards rapid development of the nation’s economy.

“I am fully aware that there is nobody from the presidency that is known to be funding you, it has been clear that Nongovernmental Organizations (NGOs) were virtually sourcing their funds from elsewhere to run their business independently”, El Kudan contended.

“We all know why we support President Goodluck Jonathan, which was because of the numerous programmes embarked upon by his administration designed to ensure total war against unemployment and poverty among the teeming youths across the nation”, he stressed.
