Chief of Air Staff urges officers to be law abiding

The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadiq Abubakar has warned his personnel to be law abiding and respect for constituted authorities while reciprocating the federal government gesture who has given their welfare top priority.
Air Force boss stated this in an interview after commissioning a block of 10 x one bedroom for Non Commissioned Officers accommodation named after a fallen hero at 351 BSG Nigerian Air Force Base in Minna.
Abubakar said that this was in line with the federal government policy of enhancing the welfare of the personnel by the provision of proper accommodation for the soldiers in Nigeria.
He stated that accommodation has been major challenges hence in the last two years have achieved 32% which is ongoing as top priority.
The Chief of Air Staff added that it has also embarked on the provision of hospital equipments, education facilities for its schools so as to provide the desired service delivery for Nigerians.
He urged the officers and men to continue to reciprocate the gesture of rededicating themselves and adhered strictly with the obligations of the force.
Represented by the Chief of Administration Air force Headquarters, Lawal Shittu Alao who noted that this has given hope for the newly recruits to inculcate discipline and responsiveness in the soldiers.
In his remarks, the Commander of Nigerian Air Force Base Minna, Air Commodore Idi Amin appreciated the administration of Sadiq Abubakar for his commitment in providing habitable accommodation for the force in the country.
Amin applauded his visionary and purposeful undertaking for his culture of self reliance and prudent management of resources hence the dreams of soldiers realized.
The building was named after Hassan T M (NAF 97/18243FS) who was killed in active service on 15th December, 2011 during Operation Zaman Lafiya. Born in 1973 and was recruited in to Nigerian Air Force on 1st January, 1997.
