A middle-aged woman identified as has been reportedly raped to death by hoodlums suspected to be cattle rustlers.
The victim, accompanied with her 18-year-old son, were attacked by the hoodlums while returning from farm at Odighi community in Ovia – North east local government area of Edo state last Tuesday.
The deceased’s son was reported to have escaped, while his mother was raped to death.
The bizarre incident prompted some farmers in the community to lodge complaint with policemen attached to Ekiadolor Divisional Police Headquarters, who recovered the stone-dead body of the deceased.
Public Relations officer (PPRO), Edo state police command, DSP, Noble Uwoh who confirmed the report, said three suspects linked with the alleged rape and murder have been arrested.
He gave the names of the three suspects to include, Mohammed, Isah and Yusuf.
