From Ibrahim Sidi Muh’d, Gusau

The emir of Bungudu, Sarkin Fulani of Bungudu, Alhaji Hassan Attahiru, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Aminu Lawal Bungudu as Jekada of Bungudu emirate (Literarily means Ambassador of the emirate).
Contained in a letter which was signed by the Secretary of the emirate, Alhaji Usman Ibrahim Ahmad, the appointment followed a recognition of the selfless services rendered by the appointee that led to carefully being selected to occupy the position.
According to the letter, the newly established position of Jekada was not just conferred on the appointee until he was closely examined and satisfied that with such an appointment, the emirate would achieve more contributions from him for the development of the people under the domain.
According to the palace officials, the position of Jekada of Bungudu had been vacant for time immemorial without any claimant who deserved to be appointed for inability to meet the necessary requirements.
The appointee, newly appointed Jekada, Aminu Lawal Bungudu who was virtually spurred by the criteria followed by the emirate for his appointment, paid a thank you visit to the emir at Bungudu emirate council on Thursday,
and assured to continue what led to his recognition.
