The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has slated May 12, 2026, for the inauguration of its newly elected state executives and Chairmen, as part of efforts to consolidate its internal structures nationwide.
The party said the decision followed the successful conduct of its congresses across the country, which it described as orderly and reflective of its commitment to democratic ideals.
In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC noted that the congresses underscored its dedication to transparency, due process, and the rule of law.
According to him, the inauguration ceremony is expected to hold on May 12, though the National Working Committee may review the date if necessary.
The party further called on the incoming officials to align with its leadership and work towards strengthening its structures at all levels under the guidance of its National Chairman, David Mark.
ADC stressed that unity, discipline, and commitment would be critical as the new executives assume office, expressing optimism that the development would enhance its grassroots mobilization and position it as a viable alternative in Nigeria’s political landscape.
