The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Kaduna State Chapter has disassociated itself from a purported “Transitional Leadership Team” meeting, warning that the group is unauthorized and attempting to usurp legitimate authority.
In a statement signed by Engr. Idris Musa, Publicity Secretary of the party, the ADC emphasized that there is no such body as a “Transitional Leadership Team” within its constitutional framework. The party operates strictly in accordance with its constitution, which designates a duly elected State Working Committee (SWC) as the recognized and legitimate leadership body at the state level.
“The Kaduna State Working Committee under the leadership of Hon. Ahmed Tijjani Mustapha remains the only recognized and legitimate leadership of the party in the state,” the statement read.
“The party is committed to conducting ward, LGA, and state congresses in a transparent, credible, and constitutionally compliant manner.”
The ADC warned that the emergence of unauthorized groups is a deliberate attempt to destabilize the party structure and usurp legitimate authority.
“Such actions are inconsistent with the principles of internal democracy, party discipline, and rule of law which the ADC upholds,” the statement added.
