Minister of state for works, Prince Adedayo Clement Adeyeye had pledged his total support for the Ekiti governor-elect, Ayodele Fayose, in order to move the state forward.
Adeyeye made this promise in his country home, Ise-Ekiti, at the reception following the thanksgiving service organized in his honour by his people, while responding to Fayose who counseled him to see his appointment as a privilege which will not be forever, therefore, he should look at the end from the beginning and do his best within the time he finds himself in that position of authority to better the lives of the people
Adeyeye in his response, expressed his appreciation to God, President Goodluck Jonathan and Fayose, whom he described as an enigma and a man who is often misunderstood by many people. Adeyeye thanked him for the significant role he played in his appointment, recalling that he was nominated him for ministerial appointment about 7 years ago, but the day he was supposed to appear before the Senate on July 9 2007, his name was removed and exactly 7 years later, precisely 9th of July 2014, his appointment came again.
He thanked the traditional rulers for the stabilizing role they played in the polity of Ekiti.
Fayose in his comments expressed optimism that Adeyeye will soon become a substantive minister because Ekiti deserve the best. The duo promised to work together to move the state forward and that nobody will come between them.
“If you want to become governor or you want Adeyeye’s seat, you cannot get it through me. So, don’t ever come to report Adeyeye to me because I will call and tell him” Fayose warned.
