The Governor of Abia State, Theodore Orji, has disagreed with his Imo State counterpart, Rochas Okorocha, over the fortunes of both the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Congress in the countdown to the 2015 general elections.

Orji, who reacted to an assertion by Okorocha that the APC would sack the PDP from Abia in next year’s general election, said the PDP remained a popular party in Abia State.

He said the opposition APC could not win a polling unit in the state in the 2015 general elections as the party “does not exist in Abia.”

Okorocha represented by his Deputy, Eze Madumere, had while addressing a stakeholders’ meeting of the South-East chapter of the APC, in Umuahia, said the APC would sack the PDP from the seat of power in the state come 2015 because “the state’s fortunes have dwindled under the watch of PDP-led government.”
