From Femi Oyelola, Kaduna
Hon. Emmanuel Tabat Khoza has voluntarily withdrawn from the race for the Kaduna South Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives primaries, stating that the decision was made in the best interest of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a letter addressed to the Chairman of the APC Kaduna State Chapter, Khoza said the move followed extensive consultations with party leaders, members of his campaign team, family, associates, and community stakeholders. He added that the decision took effect immediately.
Khoza emphasized that politics should not be treated as a do-or-die situation, and that the party’s overall interests must always come before personal or sectional ambitions. He expressed his gratitude to the party leadership, especially Governor Uba Sani, and the Kaduna State chapter of the APC, for allowing him to participate in the screening process in Abuja, where he was cleared without objections.
Reaffirming his loyalty to the APC, Khoza stated that his decision to step aside was not a sign of weakness but a deliberate, selfless act aimed at strengthening party unity and progress. He pledged his full support and cooperation for the victory of the party’s consensus candidate in the upcoming election.
