APC Chieftain Hails Uba Sani’s Grassroots Power Drive, Rigasa Compensation, Peaceful Party Congresses

Date:

An All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman for Kaduna South Local Government , Nuhu Mohammed Marghi has commended Governor Uba Sani for what he described as “practical and people-centred governance,” citing the ongoing deployment of electricity infrastructure across the state, compensation payments to Rigasa communities, and the peaceful conduct of recent party leadership elections.

Speaking in Kaduna on Monday evening, the party stalwart said the installation of over 600 electricity transformers and solar-powered facilities across the 23 Local Government Areas of the state demonstrates the governor’s deliberate effort to expand energy access to underserved communities.

According to him, the intervention is already boosting economic activity in rural and semi-urban areas, enabling small businesses, artisans and traders to operate more efficiently.

“The distribution of transformers and solar power facilities across the 23 LGAs is not just an infrastructure project; it is an economic empowerment programme. Communities that were previously in darkness are now experiencing renewed commercial life,” he said.

The APC leader also praised the Kaduna State Government for approving the release of ₦2.85 billion as compensation to affected residents in Rigasa, whose properties were impacted by ongoing road construction projects.

He noted that the move reflects the administration’s sensitivity to citizens’ welfare while pursuing major infrastructure expansion.

“Governor Uba Sani has again demonstrated that development and justice can go hand in hand. Paying compensation to Rigasa communities shows respect for the rights and dignity of the people even as government pushes ahead with critical road projects,” he added.

He said the smooth conduct of the internal party exercise underscores the growing cohesion within the APC under the governor’s leadership.

“The transparent and peaceful emergence of party leaders across the state reflects a united APC that is focused on strengthening its structures ahead of 2027,” he said.

He urged party members to sustain the spirit of unity and support the administration’s development agenda, stressing that the governor’s grassroots-focused policies are already transforming communities across Kaduna State.
