Natives of Askira Uba local government area in Borno state, residing in Kaduna has vowed to use all legal means to fight the imposition of any candidate on them by the leadership of the party.
They A National Executive Officer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Area, Barrister Isa Chul, in a statement signed by the leader of the Community residing in Kaduna Abubakar Askira and made available to the media yesterday stated the action of Barrister Isa Chul has plunged the Local Government into crisis .
“We are aware of the plan by Chul to impose his favorite aspirant on the people under the pretext that it was a decision of the National Executives. Our Party APC is known to provide a level playing for all and today we are seen as a role model by all and sundry.
“The battle line has been drawn between the loyal members of the Party in the local Government and unless the state and National Officers of the party intervene quickly we may be treading on a part of doom, because ,other contenders for the state House of Assembly seat from the Local Government had drawn a battle line with the national officer and appealed to Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno state to intervene before the crisis tear the party apart”, he said.
