Bauchi State Government under Nigerian States Health Investment Project, NSHIP, has disbursed over N46 million to sixteen Health Facilities in Dass Local Government Area of the state.
As part of third quarter health investment subsidy under the NSHIP World Bank assisted project in the state, the partners validated over forty six million Naira for disbursement, to sixteen health facilities, in Dass local government area.
The Project Coordinator, Dr Adamu Muhammed made this disclosure at the validation meeting held in Dass local government area recently.
According to him, this is in addition to the twenty eight million Naira (N28 million) earlier disbursed to the heath facilities for first and second quarters of the project implementation in the state.
Muhammad said the money would be distributed based on individual performance of each health facility, adding that that each facility was verified by an independent verifier who ascertained the quality and quantity of services rendered to the people.
In his remarks The State Programme Manager, Save One Million Lives, Alhaji Abdullahi Yakubu Zakshi urged health facility Managers to always prioritized saving people’s lives against any material benefit attached to their work.
Meanwhile the Director Primary Health Care Dass Local Council, Alhaji Sulaiman Abdu Kirfi commended the State Government for choosing the LGA as pilot for the implementation of the project.
