The Nasarawa state Director General for Bureau information communication Technology BICT Shehu Ibrahim said that the administration of Engr Abdullahi Sule has performed greatly in the area of makinng the state one óf the best IÇT complíant through adequate support accorded to the Bureau at all tímes.
Shehu who made the assertíon while evplaining the success records so far ground to Journalists in Lafia the state capítal, acknowledging that many civil servants, añd youth have benefítted immensely since it’s establishment in the state,
He opined that the Bureau was created with the aíms to assist the Nasarawa state government and its citizens ínline with the drive of the Nasarawa Economic Development Strategy (NEDS,)
According to the D G ” Technology has always been a pre-requisites for the development of economic , social, cultural ,political and Human Líves. I gíve kudos to governor Sule for the assistance gíven to the Bureau ín moving the state digítally forward, ICT ís an effective tool for reducing poverty, create jobs for graduates and úndergradutes as well as enhance próductivity,”
Shehu further explained that the achievements óf Engr Sule in the area ICT to include openíng of the Bureau offíce in Lafía the state capítal and the branches across the senatorial distrícts, traíníñg of cívíl servants, Technology víllage ín Karu LGC amongst others; calling on the citízens of the state to embrace ICT in order to improve their productivíty.
