From Mika’il Tsoho, Dutse
The former Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido, has said President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) have failed Nigerians like the way President Donald Trump failed Americans.
Lamido stated this yesterday while delivering his speech at the inauguration of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, reconciliation committee held at the party headquarters, Dutse, Jigawa State.
The former governor also alleged that President Buhari will not support the ambition of former Lagos State Governor, Alhaji Bola Ahmad Tinubu, to emerge as next president on the platform of the APC.
“The ruling APC belongs to two people, Buhari and Tinubu, and I want tell you that ‘wallahi ! Wallahi ! Wallahi’ Buhari will never support Tinubu in the next coming elections.” he said.
According to him, it is well known to everyone that APC belongs to two people in Nigeria and Buhari has achieved his ambition of serving two terms as president without achieving his three major agenda- to address insecurity, fight corruption and revive the economy.
The former governor also challenged Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to identify those that are elevated from extreme poverty through APC administration in Jigawa state.
“ I challenge Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s assertion of elevating twenty million Nigerians from poverty. We want to know those elevated from poverty in Jigawa,” Lamido said.
He apologized to PDP members who may be unhappy with the just concluded PDP congresses in the state.
Chairman of the reconciliation committee, Dr Aminu Abdullahi Taura, called on aggrieved members to sheathe their swords as according to him only PDP can take Nigerians to the promising land.
