The African Centre For Leadership Strategy and Development (LSD) has claimed returning 242 out of school girls back to school in Adamawa state.
Executive Director of the centre, Mr. Monday Osasah disclosed the development at a press conference in Yola stressing that, their community led collective action for girls education (C-CAGE) project being implemented in 3 focal local government areas.
Osasah said the intervention of the centre with the collaboration of the state government especially in area of rehabilitation and reconstruction of 38 schools in Numan, Song and Maiha local councils have impacted a lot by helping out of school girls back to schools.
Osasah stated that the intervention motivated 100 girls in Song, 62 girls in Maiha and 80 in Numan totalling 242 girls to return back to school to continue their education.
