A member representing Bungudu/Maru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu, has donated 300 bags of 50kg Rice and 200 bags of Semovita to security operatives and the Christian community in Zamfara State to support the celebration of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year.
The donation is aimed to alleviating the burden of the festive season and to enable beneficiaries to celebrate with joy and happiness.
Flagging off the distribution ceremony in Bungudu local government area of Zamfara State, Hon. Zubairu called on Christians to offer special prayers during the yuletide period for the restoration of peace, harmony, and tranquility in the state and the country in general.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Distribution Committee and former Sole Administrator of Bungudu Local Government Council, Hon. Sadiq Maiturare, who handed over the items to the beneficiaries, said the lawmaker urged Christians to consider the holiness of Christmas period to pray for lasting peace and unity across the state and the country.
