Church distributes foodstuffs to patients, orphans

Dunamis International Gospel Centre Kubwa in Bwari Area Council of the FCT has donated foodstuffs to patients at general hospitals, King’s Care private Hospital, Unity Clinic and Maternity as well as the Ark of refuge Orphanage, Kubwa Divine Orphanage and the inmates at Police Area Command in the Federal Capital Territory.

The Items donated to the beneficiaries as part of activities to mark the Easter celebrations, included cash from the church monthly Devotional-seeds of Destiny contributions, toiletries, beverages, babiesfood items and cartons of Indomie noodle.

Speaking at the occasion during the donation of the food items, the pastor of the church, Michael Ajogba, said the Easter provided yet another opportunity to share the love of God with fellow compatriots especially the less privileged.

He said the donation represents the Church’s social responsibility to its host community and prayed for the salvation of those in the hospitals as well as persons incarcerated and the restoration of shattered destinies of those in depravity.

He assured the beneficiaries that the Church will always put smiles on their faces, urging them to keep faith with Christ in whatever conditions they may find themselves today.

While delivering his Easter message, Ajogba said that the resurrection of Jesus Christ symbolizes the birth, foundation and the pillar of Christianity.

He admonished the congregation to remain upright stating that Jesus Christ paid with his blood at the Cross of Calvary for the remission of their sins and warned that it would be unfair to ignore the sacrifice and continue to mess up with their lives.

He described Easter as a season of good news symbolizing the seal of the price Jesus paid to redeem humanity from sin.

He prayed for the nation and enjoined Nigerians to renew their faith in God, saying that God is ready to forgive our sins and redirect our destinies to the original purposes for our lives.

On the security, the pastor expressed confidence that Nigeria will overcome the current security, political and economic challenges and become the arsenal of democracy in Africa.
