Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa (Rtd) is holding an emergency meeting with Service Chiefs following recent set backs being recorded by the military in the fight against insurgency.
Terrorists have in the last two weeks launched devastating attacks on military bases especially in the North East, where they also overun some communities.The meeting, hoding in the minister’s office, has in attendance the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Olufemi Oluyede; Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu: Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke,; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abass; and the National Intelligence Agency among others.Musa said before the meeting went into a closed-door session that they would review the security threats and adopt more devastating strategies against the terrorists.
