The Minister of State for Defence H.E.Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle, is slated to address the Press in commemoration of DICON @60 on Monday, 12th August 2024.
This was contained in a statement issued at the weekend by Henshaw Ogubike, Director (Information and Public relations).
According to the Minister, DICON’s 60th Anniversary celebration will showcase its achievements and innovations as well strengthen relationships amongst stakeholders. The theme of the anniversary celebration is: “Future Frontiers in Africa’s Defence Technology”.
He said the event will gather the largest defence industry stakeholders in Nigeria and Africa and over 3,000 both local and international participants.
Furthermore, the event will focus on investment opportunities, industrial partnerships and future developments in the African defence industry. It will also feature a distinguished faculty of knowledgeable speakers and resource persons from within and outside Africa.
The Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR will be the Special Guest of Honour for the 60th anniversary celebrations and opening ceremony of the maiden African Defence Industries Conference on Wednesday, 14th August 2024, while the President of the Senate is expected to be the Guest of Honour for the Cocktail/ Gala Night, same day.
