The Federal University Dutse (FUD), has concluded arrangements to hold its 6th and 7th combined convocation ceremonies on Saturday 24th, February 2024.
During the convocation, the investiture of the 2nd Chancellor of the university, King W.S.Joshua, the Ebenanawei of Bomo Kingdom and the Pioneer Chairman of the Bayelsa State Traditional Council will also be part of the event.
This was contained in a statement signed by the deputy director public affairs of the University Alhaji Abdullahi Yahaya Bello and made it available to news men.
According to the statement, the programs lined up for the convocation include the Pre-Convocation Press briefing to Journalists in Jigawa state by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed on the 21st of February, 2024.
The statement said, this will be followed by the commissioning of projects at the Rasheed Shekoni Teaching Hospital by the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof . Muhammad Ali Pate,CON, on Friday, 23rd of February,2024 by 10 am prompt.
“The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare will also deliver the Pre-Convocation Lecture titled: Human Capital in the Era of Polycrisis on Friday,23rd of February, 2024 4:pm”, the statement said.
