Emir of Borgu, Alhaji Mohammed Sani Dantoro, Kitoro IV, has applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for raising the hope of communities affected by the establishment of power projects in bringing Hydroelectric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPPADEC) to reality.
The Emir gave the commendation at New Bussa in Niger state when he received the Governing Council of HYPPADEC at his palace.
He charged the commission to redouble effort in addressing deficits by bringing their experience to bear and assured them of his support.
Kitoro noted with concern, the excruciating condition of the communities in terms of access to basic social amenities including electricity, in spite of the huge sacrifice they made in terms of their means of livelihood, for the Hydroelectric Dams to be established.
Similarly, the team had earlier paid same visits to the Emir of Minna, Alhaji Umar Faruk Bahago and that of Kontagora, Alhaji Saidu Namaska where the two royal fathers applauded federal government effort on HYPPADEC to be actualized and declared their support to the commission.
