Federal government has launched the Renewed Hope Housing Platform.
The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, made the disclosure while the launching the platform yesterday in Abuja .
The minister described the platform as a “One-Stop Shop for housing delivery,” which offers a transparent, easy-to-use, integrated web-based application for home sales under the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates Programme.
He explained that “This innovative platform is groundbreaking. It provides an online, transparent, easy-to-use, integrated web-based application for the sale of homes under the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates Programme of the Ministry, which Mr. President launched earlier this year. I like to call it the One-Stop Shop for housing delivery”.
He further emphasized that the platform also offers flexible payment options, including one-time payments and installment plans, and easy access to mortgage plans. Adding that the platform is not duplicating previous housing delivery systems but building on them to create a more efficient and futuristic solution.
The housing platform will also provide critical data to implement a demand-driven strategy for housing, helping gauge housing needs for different locations and demographics.
The Renewed Hope Housing Platform currently has estates in 12 locations across Nigeria, including Yobe, Gombe, Ebonyi, Abia, Nasarawa, Benue, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Katsina, Sokoto, Oyo, and Osun, as well as cities in Abuja, Kano, and Lagos.
He said “As you may recall, in December 2023, we signed an MoU with a consortium of developers led by Continental Civil to deliver 100,000 housing units nationwide. This platform is a key part of this partnership. With this online housing sales platform, we aim to streamline the process for the marketing and sale of houses being built under the Renewed Hope Cities and Estates Programme”.
