Former Nigeria Ambassador to Namibia Prince Terhemen Tarzoor has thrown his weight behind Governor Hyacinth Alia’s administration, maintaining that under his stewardship, Benue State is experiencing a renaissance that restores faith in governance and rekindles the collective spirit of the people.
Prince Tarzoor said this during a press briefing at the NUJ House, Makurdi on Monday, stressing that he is particularly impressed by the Governor’s massive infrastructural strides and his prudent management of state affairs—evident in the quality of road infrastructure, diversification of the economy towards industrialization, human capital development, and his steadfast commitment to the welfare of workers.
The former Speaker of the State Assembly said his personal observations across the state, leaves him fully convinced that Governor Alia is leading with integrity, discipline, and genuine commitment to service, adding, his humility in leadership, results-oriented focus, and devotion to the welfare of the people.
Amb Tarzoor who was the Governorship candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP in 2015 election, recalled that he had aspired to govern the State with lofty dreams and an unwavering desire to uplift the lives of the people.
This achievement marks a significant milestone in the state’s development journey.
Jessica Bartholomew, the State Coordinator of the Alliance, stated that the award reflects the state’s outstanding performance and commitment to achieving its goals.
