The Nigeria Premier League (NPL) top goals-scorer, Mfon Udoh, has boasted that he will not be overwhelmed by the occasion when the Super Eagles take on Cote d’ Ivoire in a friendly in Abu Dhabi in January.

The Super Eagles, comprising predominantly of home based players will face the Ivoirien Elephants in one of two friendly matches billed for the United Arab Emirates next month and the striker, who scored 23 league goals in the last season of the Nigerian league to become the all time top scorer, says it will be just like any other game for him.

“I will not be overwhelmed by playing against the likes of Yaya Toure. I know they are world class players but it is still the same football that we will play and I know we also have some good players in our team, so it shouldn’t be a problem.

“They are preparing for the Cup of Nations and need the game to prepare and we also have to prove that we can play against the big boys. It is going to be a very good experience for us and hopefully we will get a good result,” he posited.

The 22-year old made his Super Eagles debut in November’s friendly against Ghana in Uyo and came close to making his debut with a goal.
