The Senate of Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA), has approved the rustication of 20 students found guilty of committing various forms of examination misconduct, with effect from the Second semester of the 2025/2026 Academic session.

A statement issued on Thursday by the university’s Director, Information and Protocol, Nasiru M. Abdul, said the decision was taken during the 138th Regular Senate Meeting held on Wednesday, 11th March, 2026.

According to the statement, all the affected students were given an opportunity to appear before the Committee, to defend themselves.

He quoted the Chairman of the Senate and Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Mohammed Khalid Othman, as saying that “the decision is in accordance with Section 13.3, subsection 13.3c of the University’s Policy on Examination Irregularity & Academic Misconducts”.
