Gombe Emirate council yesterday said arrangements have been concluded for the burial of the late Emir of Gombe, Alhaji Shehu Usman Abubakar. Speaking to our correspondent yesterday, at the Emir’s palace in Gombe, the Secretary, Gombe Emirate council, Alhaji Dauda M. Yahuza disclosed that the body of the Emir would flown from London to Nigeria for burial today.
It could be recalled that the Emir died on Wednesday while receiving treatment at London Hospital.
According to the Secretary, the Emir would be buried after Juma’at prayers in Gombe, adding that all is set for the burial.
Among those that paid condolence to Emir’s palace in Gombe yesterday were Emirs of Fika, Bali, Ibbi, Bade, Muri and Bali; former Minister of Agriculture, Sani Zangon Daura, among others.
