The All Progressives Congress (APC) has named Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo state as the Chairman of its scheduled March 2026 National Convention Central Coordination Committee.
Uzodimma who is also the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF), will chair the 73- member Central Coordination Committee for the All important National Convention.
The party in a statement on Monday also named Governor of Kwara State and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as Vice Chairman, while the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni will function as Secretary of the Committee.
The Committee was constituted by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC as part of preparations for the Party’s 2026 National Convention.
The National Convention is part of the activities leading to the selection of the candidates that will represent the party in the 2027 general elections. It’s also at the Convention that the delegates who will vote at the party primary elections would be determined.
Other members of the National Convention include; serving and former governors and some serving and former members of the National Assembly who are members of the party.
