The Nami Support Organisation has strongly disassociated itself from a vehicle distribution scheme targeted at Islamic clerics across the Niger South (Zone A) Senatorial District, exposing it as a coordinated scam run by syndicated fraudsters.
The clarification was contained in an official press statement issued on Thursday in Minna by the Director General of the organisation, Muhammad Sanusi Umar.
Umar explained that unscrupulous elements have been traversing the senatorial district, targeting local Imams and demanding monetary contributions under the guise of organizing special prayer sessions for the group’s principal, Alhaji Muhammad Mamman Nami.
It was gathered that the fraudsters have reportedly been promising vehicles to the clerics in exchange for these financial commitments, a claim the group completely debunked.
“Our activities are strictly coordinated through designated local government coordinators.
Nobody should give money to anyone in the name of my boss for anything. We are not giving out vehicles to any individuals or groups as speculated, and we have not—and will not—order anybody to purchase vehicles on behalf of the campaign council for distribution,” Umar stated.
The Director General described the vehicle distribution rumors as fabricated falsehoods designed by mischief makers to tarnish the integrity and reputation of Alhaji Muhammad Nami.
The group announced it is actively deploying necessary measures to track down the syndicates responsible for the campaign of calumny.
Umar warned that anyone caught impersonating the campaign council will face the full wrath of the law.
Despite the distraction, the organization emphasized that Alhaji Muhammad Mamman Nami remains a loyal and committed member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), dedicated to supporting the policies of the party in Niger State.
Umar concluded by reassuring the public that Nami is determined to honor all infrastructural and community development pledges made during his recent campaign tour across the Niger South Senatorial District, regardless of electoral outcomes.
