Confluence of Gbagyi Association and Gbagyi Sa’asi a non governmental organization has endorsed a female aspirant, Mrs Cesnamihilo Dorathy Aken’ova for their presidential candidate come 2023.
The Association’s President, Mr Wakili Bako made the declaration in a press briefing at the weekend in Minna, saying that the men have had their chances and it’s time to give the women the opportunity to serve the country.
He decried that the North Central (Middle Belt) has been marginalized and Gbagyis in particular from the zone, hence the need to support the aspiration of Mrs Aken’ova as the next president of Nigeria.
Bako explained that Gbagyi tribe is ranked first in population within four states of Niger, Kogi, Kaduna, Nassarawa and FCT Abuja, while he lamented over insecurity posed by bandits that deprived the citizens of their livelihood.
