Indigenous group decries, Military confiscation of their ancestral land without authorization, seek Minister’s intervention

A non governmental organization advocating for the Rights, Freedom, Justice and Inclussiness for the indigenous people of FCT, The Àbuja Original Inhabitants and Youths Empowerment Orgànisation (AOIYEO) has express dissatisfaction on the continuous occupation of their ancestral land spanning from Tunga- Maji , large expands of land along airport road and other places of their ancestral home by the Military authority and their personnel displacing millions of the original inhabitants without their knowledge or authorization from any quarter. AOIYEO therefore make urgent appeal to the FCT Minister to intervene without delayed to avoid breakdown of law and order.

The President AOIYEO, Comrade Issac David make this call yesterday in Abuja during Orgànisation periodic interaction with the media.accoding to him such intervention by the Minister will douse tension and correct the injustices melted on the indigenous people in FCT.

” We are tired of waiting endlessly for the FCT administration to intervene and tell the Military to vacate our ancestral land but nothing is done till date , days ago we watch on Television the FCT Minister trying to recover a plot of land belonging to former Chief of Naval staff according to news report that was not properly allocated, now we want the same Minister to use such seal to recover our land from the military command that has been occupying our ancestral land without approval. We have been protesting about this forceful taken over of our land years ago with government Representative always making promise to call for negotiation without any results, Amb Isaac said

The Original Inhabitants of FCT is making this clarion call to the president, Bola Tinubu and the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike to act urgently as the indigenous people have been push to the background and our lands being taken away without any dialogue nor compensation.

For some years now the indigennes has been marginalized, rejected and push back and we say it time for action that will be of great benefits to our people, Amb.Issac Added
