The wife of Jigawa state governor Hajiya Hadiza Umar Namadi has paid a sympathy visit to 11 years old raped girl at Aminu Kano Teaching hospital Kano and assured her of support.
Speaking during the visit, the First Lady promised that, the state government and Nigeria Governor’s Wife Forum will do everything possible to ensure that the suspect is treated based on what he did.
“I want to assure you that, the suspect will never go unpunished. As I’m talking to you now, he is in custody and fight against gender violence is one of the priorities of Nigeria Governor’s Wife Forum.
“Today, we are in Aminu Kano Teaching hospital to visit and sympathize with our daughter Khadija Isah who was raped by one suspect some months ago, and Alhamdulillah she is responding to the treatment”, she said.
