Jonathan’s confab, waste of public funds, says Edo legislator

Date:

Edo State House of Assembly member representing Orhionmwon-South constituency II, Hon. Friday Ogierhiakhi has described the on-going National confab as waste of public funds.

He said the conference called by President Goodluck Jonathan was an avenue to squander tax payers money and enrich the pockets of few. The All Progressive Congress (APC) legislator stated this when he flagged-off a water project at Ugboko-Niro in Orhiomwon council area of Edo State.

Ogierhakhi who berated the composition of delegates to the conference, said it was conveyed to distract Nigerians attention away from the 2015 general elections.

According to him, “The delegates represented themselves and no one else. I don’t know how anyone there can hold out as my representative when I play no role in his or her nomination”, he added.
