Kaduna communities dry deplorable roads in Chikun LGA

Four Communities in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State have appealed to Governor Uba Sani to provide them with access roads, so as to ease their suffering.
These Communities are Sabon Gero, Danhono 2, Dokan Mai-Jama’a and Bayan Tsauni all in Millennium City, Chikun Local Government Area.
It was gathered that for decades, both Chikun local government and Kaduna State Government neglected these communities despite their daily nightmarish experiences due to deplorable roads.
A community leaders who resided in one of the communities, Elder Muhammad Sani lamented that due to the poor condition of all the roads, people find it difficult to go to the town.
“If you used your car to drive down to town you have to visit the mechanic every week, particularly during the rainy season”, he said.
Also, a civil servant in Kaduna, Khadija Ibrahim lamented that most of the accidents were due to the poor condition of the roads and appealed to Governor Mallam Uba Sani to also include the less than seven (7) kilometres of roads to solve their major problems.
Ibrahim said : “During the rainy season, we experienced a lot of accidents due to the high level of mud on the roads, during the dry season dust that affected our eyes, lungs and our dressing, she lamented.
“Governor Uba Sani should kindly come to the rescue of those communities please.”
Meanwhile, it was observed that the contractors handling most of the road projects in Kaduna also contributed negatively to the condition of those roads and they failed to fix those roads as part of their corporate social responsibilities.
