Kano Rep member offers scholarships to 1,000 indigenous students

Member House of Representatives of Dala Federal Constituency, Aliyu Madakin Gini has offered scholarship to no fewer than 1000 students undergoing degree, diploma and NCE programmes in various institutions in Kano state.
The Member, who is also the Deputy Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, also provided writing and reading materials, school bags and uniforms for hundreds of primary and junior secondary school pupils.
Speaking during the event on Friday in Kano Hon. Madakingini stated that he is assisting the youths in their education as an opportunity to have a better future.
“We have planned doing this for long but have to suspend it to this period due to circumstances beyond our control
“This is to assist our youths in their education and give them the life opportunity to be educated. We are going to ensure that they are sponsored throughout their study.
“There is nothing better than having an education as the support with which to face the challenges of today’s world” he stated.
The Registrar from the Bebeji School of Health Technology, Dr. Usman Dambazau, thanked the Rep member on behalf of the beneficiaries.
“This is a very memorable thing as we all know, it is usually difficult for a lot of these students to complete their education due to the current economic difficulties.
“There are cases of a lot of them that are circumstantially for Ed to drop out due to their inability to pay their fees due to the economic hardship.”
