…Tasks Senate President to come clean on corruption allegations

The Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, Department of Computer Science, has created a Robotic material to support staff domestic works of cleaning, sweeping and knighting in the institution.
The Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Musa Yakasai, told newsmen in Wudil on Wednesday that the robotic would assist the staff to perform optimally.
He said that the management of the institution , has greatly improved on the Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology of the University to allow Students fully access technology and be part of the Global IT transformation.
He said the Robot Machine has already been tested and is perfectly working according to it’s original design, “as time goes on, we will create as many as possible this kind of Machine that will help reduce the workload of the Institution”, Professor Musa said.
On the University Library, the Vice Chancellor, explained that the new renovated Library as the capacity of over five hundred Students at a go and is fully connected with Internet and other IT materials.
Yakasai, added that despite the fact that they have created E-Library and which is fully functional, they still encourage Students to continue with the normal Library system for improve Reading Culture.
“We have created Technical Service Department, which unusual as a department responsible for the general procession of library material’s with Information Resources/Automatic Development Unit, Cataloguing and classification unit, than the E-Library it’s self”.
In the same Library, the University created Serial Department, adding that it is responsible for the general procession and discharging of serial materials that includes Newspapers, Journals and Reports”.
“These Department is also responsible for Postgraduate Unit, Periodical Unit, Bindery Unit Multi Media Unit, that for Bindery we are using the place to correct any book destroyed by the Students and even their Assignments they can use the unit to bind whatever they have”.
He said the Library was initially housed in the former Teachers College Wudil Students Dining Hall with a modest collection of Books and serial with other few Documents.
The University Don, notes that in his first year he was able to expand the library to turn to a modern Ultra Library and it is designed to accommodate all sections of circulation, Serial, Reference, Postgraduate, technical electronic and administration Unit.
“Today the library is now in a possession of over 300 fully connected network computers, facilities and departmental libraries created specifically to facilitate the teaching, learning, researchers and Community Services activities of the University.
