Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Niger State Command, Adamu Abdullahi Kambra has paid a sympathy visit to the District Head of Diko and victims of the tanker incident in Gurara Local Government Area of the state.

The command PRO, DSC Abubakar Rabiu Muti in a statement issued in Minna, said the Commandant expressed his heartfelt condolences to the District Head, the people of Diko, and the families of the victims to show the command concern and sympathy to the affected.

 Kambra also acknowledged that the NSCDC was in contact with other security agencies during and after the incident, and his visit aimed to assess the damage caused by the petroleum product and the victims who rushed to scoop the fuel.

He prayed that such incidents would not occur again and assured the District Head and the public that he had sought permission from the Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi PhD, mni, OFR, to establish an NSCDC Outpost in Diko.

According to him, “This outpost will support existing Area Commands and Divisions, enhancing the Corps’ response capabilities in the area.”

The Commandant appreciated the Commandant General’s continuous support and guidance, as well as Governor Umar Mohammed Bago’s swift response to the victims and commitment to ensuring safety and security in Niger State.

The statement stressed that the NSCDC Niger State Command remains dedicated to safeguarding lives and property, working tirelessly to prevent and respond to emergencies across the state.
