Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has picked up the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC), officially declaring his bid for the Kaduna Central Senatorial District seat ahead of the 2027 elections.
Sani, a former lawmaker and rights activist, is making a return to the race, intensifying political interest in the district as APC aspirants jostle for the party’s ticket.
His entry is expected to heighten competition within the ruling party, given his strong grassroots influence and political experience.
The APC has fixed its timetable with form sales running from April 25 to May 2, 2026, while submission closes on May 4.
Screening of aspirants is slated for May 6 to May 9, ahead of primaries beginning May 15 and ending May 23, 2026.
