The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) , in conjunction with the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (PHCDA) and the Center for Well-being and Integrated Nutrition Solutions, have sensitised residents of Wako community on measles rubella vaccine in Kwali Area Council.
In an interview after the sensitization programme, the NOA’s Chief Orientation Mobilization Officer (COMO), in Kwali, Ngene Njideka, said the sensitization programme was being organized to prepare the residents of Wako Community ahead of the exercise.
She disclosed that the programme would begin on the month of October, 2025, urging the residents not to reject on measles rubella vaccine during the take-off of the programme.
She advised the parents as well as the guardians to deem it necessary to allow their children from the ages of 9 to 15 years to take the vaccine.
Njideka, however, expressed joy the manner at which the residents of the Community turned out during the programme, pointing out that the administration of the Area Council was fully in support of the programme.

Usman Ibrahim, who was represented by the Madawakin of Wako, Mallam Adamu Abdullahi, thanked the organizers for educating the residents on vaccine.
On her part, a staff of NOA in Kwali, Florence Z. Mador, appealed to the community leaders and critical stakeholders to endeavour to enlighten their people on the need embrace the vaccine. The sensitization programme featured questions and answers.
