Police nab 207 suspected criminals in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested two hundred and seven suspected criminals in the last one week after raiding a number of identified hideouts across the state.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mohammed Jalige disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Kaduna, yesterday.
He said the arrests were made in connection with various criminal offences including phone snatching, ATM swap, armed robbery, thuggery and other heinous crimes.
According to the statement, the arrests are made in different locations within Kaduna Metropolis and Environs in line with the operational strategies of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun.
It said a number of recoveries were made and investigations are ongoing, while a number of the suspects have been charged to court.
The statement stated that the Commissioner of Police CP Musa Yusuf Garba applauded the Area Commanders, DPOs and Tactical Commanders for their resilience and professionalism in curbing crimes, urging them to sustain the tempo.
It admonished parents to warn their wards against committing any form of criminal activities as they cannot evade the ever presence eyes of the Police.
